Kim Mills
Kim has been the owner/director of Steppin’Out for the past 20 years. She is a graduate of Northern Essex Community college, where she was a member of the Still Pointe Dance Company. Since opening the studio Kim has been certified by Dance Masters Of America as well as Dance Educators Of America. In 2001 Kim attended the Dance Educators Of America Teacher Training school at UNLV, where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acrobatics, and flamenco. She has also participated in the Danzjam Teacher Intensive in New York City in 2005, and continues to take yearly workshops with Danzjam in Peabody, MA.
Her students have won numerous high score, and special awards, and have performed at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Hershey Park. Kim has also received many “Top Teacher” and Choreography awards at regional and national level competitions. Most recently her students have been invited to perform for the Royal Caribbean Cruise line.
Kim has taken classes with many master teachers including Nan Giordano, Drika Overton, Josh Hilberman, Jacqui Young, Devon Perry, Chad Levy, and Amy Marshall, just to name a few. Last September Kim attended Mark Goodman’s Tap University in San Diego, CA. She is continually trying to learn and grow as a teacher, and her desire is to pass on her love of dance to all of her students!
