Alison  is from York, Maine and received her early dance training from Mikie Boyd.  At Colby College, she took ballet with Andrei Bossov, a principle dancer for the Kirov Ballet of Russia, and a course in choreography.  Alison performed in the spring dance concerts at Colby and her senior year, Alison was the Vice President of the Colby Dancers. Alison also performed in Colby’s production of Caberet. 
In the summer of 2005, Alison trained with the Amy Marshall Dance Company and attended the DanzJam Summer Intensive in New York City.  She has attended many DanzJam conventions.  She has taken classes from master teachers such as Amy Marshall, Chad Levy, Jacqui Young, Tina Wentzel, Sybil Huggins and members of the Push Factor Dance Co. and Trinity Dance Co.   
Alison has been with SODA since 2002, and has been teaching since 2004.  She has competed in the Level 6 and Pro-Am Lyrical, Pro-Am Tap and Jazz, as well as filled in for other Level 6 classes.   In addition to her dance career, Alison is the Manager of a Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory.
