Jeannie Martin is from many places, beginning life in New Orleans, LA and finally settling down in Kingston, NH.  She first danced at the Hyannis Dance Center.   After moving to New Hampshire she danced and performed with the Beverly Baroody School of Dance in Derry, NH, until graduating from Pinkerton Academy.  Jeannie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Worcester State College and then taught first grade in Worcester, MA.  More recently, Jeannie completed Dance Educator Certification at Northern Essex Community College.  While at NECC, she performed with Still Pointe Dance Company.  Jeannie has attended DanzJam convention where she has had the opportunity to take classes from members of the Push Factor Dance Company and dance masters Jacqui Young, Amy Marshall and Chad Levy.  She has also studied from masters:  Pamela Wise, Kristina Liversidge, Michelle Dalton and James Franklin.  This is Jeannie’s 11^th year dancing with Steppin’ Out and her 5^th year teaching.  This year Jeannie will be taking ballet, tap and jazz and competing with the Pro-Am Jazz Company and Adult Tap Company at SODA.
