Serena Jaworski
Serena Jaworski has been dancing and performing since age 3, and has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Spanish Dance & Flamenco, Acro, Lyrical, and Salsa & Merengué. She became part of the Steppin’ Out Dance Company in 1991 and has performed with the company at Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Florida. Serena began teaching in 1999, was certified by Fitness Resources in 1998, and completed the Dance Educators of America Teacher Certification Program, Level 1 at UNLV in 2001. Serena has taken Ballet classes at UNH, and performed with the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in their Winter Repertory Concert in 2001. In 2002, Serena took Flamenco classes while studying abroad in Spain, and in 2004, Serena took part in the Danzjam Weekend Teacher Intensive. Serena has also taken classes with many Master Teachers, including Al Gilbert, Drika Overton, James Franklin, Jeannette Neill, C. Larry Robertson, Louis Kavouras, Nan Giordano, Jacqui Young, and Sybil Huggins, just to name a few. Serena’s Dance Company students have won numerous awards in both regional and national dance competitions, and Serena won a choreography award in 2006. In addition to teaching dance, Serena has a B.S. in Business Administration, is a Registered Nurse working on the CICU at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH, and is a part-time graduate student at UNH, where she will earn a Masters Degree in Nursing Education in December 2008. Serena recently took a year off from teaching to focus on being a new mom and on school, and is very happy to be back teaching again this year!
